Completion of commissioning of 204 km long X 12” dia LPG pipeline of Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited (KSPPL) in Kerala on 17.10.2023

Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited (KSPPL- JV of IOCL and BPCL) has successfully commissioned 51km long X 12’’ dia LPG pipeline from IOCL’s LPG Import terminal (LITE), Puthuvypeen via BPCL’s Kochi Refinery with receipt of Bi-DI PIG and LPG at IOCL’s Cochin Bottling plant, Udayamperoor at 14.54hrs (as per schedule) on 17th October 2023. Earlier on 26.08.2023, the 153km long x 12’’ dia long section of pipeline from Kochi Refinery to Palakkad was also successfully commissioned. With this, total of 204km of LPG pipeline got commissioned in the State of Kerala. The occasion was held in the gracious presence of Sh. Sanjib Behera, CGM & State Head-Kerala State Office (KESO), Sh. K Narender Babu, CEO-KSPPL, R Ramya, CFO-KSPPL along side Sh. Rajendran R, CGM(LPG)-KESO, Sh. Shyam Swaroop, GM(LPG- Operations)-KESO and Ms. Remya Kenguva, DGM(Plant)-Cochin BP.

This formidable task of laying first LPG pipeline network in Kerala has been endured by KSPPL with sheer dedication and hardwork of it’s core team overcoming myriad of obstacles due to extremely challenging geographical terrain, socio-political issues and dense habitation/population of Kerala State. This remarkable fleet towards successful commissioning has been an arduous yet exhilarating voyage led by Sh. K Narender Babu, CEO-KSPPL and R Ramya, CFO-KSPPL along with proficient team of KSPPL duly supported by top management of both Promoter companies. With the pivotal shift from commissioning to Operations, KSPPL is dedicated to expand LPG network ensuring safe, efficient and sustainable operations.
